PJSC "Ukrsotsbank", UniCredit Bank™, starts contactless Visa payWave cards emission
PJSC "Ukrsotsbank", which operates under the UniCredit Bank trade mark, has announced the completion of the certification process of Visa payWave contactless cards.
The launch of sales of Visa payWave cards is planned for May 2013 in PJSC "Ukrsotsbank», UniCredit Bank™. The product line of Visa payWave cards will include Classic and Gold cards.
PJSC "Ukrsotsbank", UniCredit Bank™, began active implementation of contactless payment cards in 2012, when the bank had successfully passed the certification on Visa payWave cards acceptance and had started active collaboration with commercial and service enterprises in the frames of widening of Visa contactless cards network. The follow-up of the efforts of the bank in this regard is the issue of Visa payWave cards, so soon the bank will offer this convenient and modern payment tool to our customers" - said Lyubov Syrovatskaya, Head of individuals in PJSC "Ukrsotsbank", UniCredit Bank™.
Visa payWave technology allows to make payments by putting card on the contactless reader. In this case, the card shouldn’t be passed to the teller or be inserted into a payment terminal and it isn’t necessary to sign a receipt or enter a PIN code when transactions are up to UAH 200.
Today Visa payWave cards are accepted at more than 500 sales and service enterprises in Ukraine, including McDonald's and Puzata Hata fast food restaurants, Furshet, Amstore, Kosmo and Caravan supermarkets, Watsons and Cosmo, Shell and Socar petrol stations, Сoffee Life cafés. Moreover, taking into account the functional match of Visa payWave cards and payment terminals over the world, Ukrainian Visa payWave cardholders can use its while traveling in more than 50 countries around the world.
