Tax Service of Ukraine increased efforts aimed at proper tax payments by online retailers
Tax Service of Ukraine continues to report on the work done in 2012. Last year the tax officers quite actively "hunted" for online retailers who didn't pay taxes. As a result, the state budget additionally received UAH 180 million.
It's not difficult both to start e-commerce in Ukraine and avoid taxes. But Tax Service increased its efforts aimed at monitoring such dishonest online merchants. During the year it was conducted 185 documentary inspections, which resulted in additional UAH 83,5 million in the country's budget. Due to criminal prosecution, the state budget received additional UAH 96,5 million and tax authorities seized goods worth about UAH 72 million.
