MTS plans to raise NFC demand selling white label smartphone
Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) has recently rolled out its own-branded Android smartphone in Russia, the MTS 965. This handset is the first Russian smartphone to supporting NFC and MasterCard PayPass. Users can pay for goods and services in one-touch access without use of money cash and bank card. It is required to install a SIM card that compatible with MasterCard PayPass technology.
Running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, the MTS 965 smartphone is built on an 800MHz Qualcomm MSM 7225A processor. New handset packs 256MB of RAM and 512MB of internal memory, which is expandable via MicroSD card (up to 32GB).
MTS 965 Android smartphone has a 3.5-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels and a 3.2MP camera.
Other features are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, FM radio, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, MicroUSB port and 3.5mm headphone jack.
The MTS smartphone is designed for use in GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz and UMTS 900/2100 MHz networks. Its battery is enough juice for up to 3.5 hours of talk time or 250 hours on standby. Dimensions of MTS 965 are 117 x 61 x 12 mm and weighs 125 g.
MTS 965 smartphone is now available for price of 5000 rubles.
