Online Shopping peak was recorded last week
According to the latest comScore statistics, e-commerce figures for this past week were the strongest five-day online shopping period in a row so far. Retail e-commerce spending since the beginning of the holiday season was $33.8 billion, up 13 percent.
During the past week four days broke the $1 billion spending mark. So far, 11 individual days have surpassed $1 billion in online retail sales (2011: 10 days) with “Cyber” Monday November 26th a top ranking ($1.4 bn) followed by Tuesday December 4th ($1.36 bn) and “Green” Monday December 10th ($1.27bn). Cyber Monday 2011, on November 28th 2011 had reached $1.25 bn.
