Ukraine: Parliament candidates driving people of Kyiv into bank slavery
Political analyst Volodymyr Tsybulko said this on TV channel Kyiv, the portal Kyiv City reported.
´Such a scheme of bribing voters is quite common. Parliamentary candidates distribute among people credit cards with open credit lines on the accounts,´ Tsybulko said.
According to the analyst, most often there is USD 100 on the card. Many voters believe that this is a gift, and the funds should not be returned to banks. "But this is not so," Tsybulko said.
According to the director of the Kyiv Center for Political Studies Mykhailo Pohrebinsky, in the last week before the election, anything is possible, not only credit cards.
"The fact that candidates promise impossible things, every step pouring mud at each other or trying to bribe voters with foods, is no surprise to anyone. Chasing the mandate, the candidates would be ready to break the election campaign rules by maximum," the expert said.
