Infrastructure Ministry Initiating Introduction Of Single Railway Ticket For Transfer And Round Trips
The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine is initiating introduction of single travel document, completed on one blank form, for two railway travels: with one transfer and for round trip, reads a statement made by the Ministry.
"At passenger's will, one-transfer trips and round trips completed on single travel document," reads the Ministry's draft order 'On approving alterations to the rules of carriage of passengers, luggage, freight baggage, and mail by railway transport in Ukraine' dated October 2.
If draw up single travel document, booking-clerk has to accommodate with the passenger waiting time in the transfer point.
Under the document, this time must not exceed 10 days from the moment of arriving to the transfer station.
Moreover, the draft order supposes introduction of a system of execution of transportation of group in one coach on basis of one travel document.
By group leader's wish travel documents for separate passengers within the group can be drawn up (up to three travel documents per coach).
The Infrastructure Ministry is also initiating introduction of bonus system when selling travel documents.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the Ukrzaliznytsia state rail transport administration on March 30, 2010 introduced payment for tickets over the internet and subsequent printing out of tickets at booking offices.
All tickets were printed on strictly accountable blank forms, which Ukrzaliznytsia plans to abandon from October.
