70% of Latvian Cardholders Use Their Cards for Everyday Payments
70% of bank cardholders mostly pay for purchases or services using their bank cards, while 30% prefer cash, according to a poll carried out by the safe electronic payment solutions developer Point Transaction Systems.
Most often people pay use cash because a given outlet has no POS terminal — according to replies by 62% of respondents. 54% prefer cash is the amount of purchase is small.
The survey was carried out during the «Riga Food 2012» fair.
