The Banker, international banking industry and financial markets edition (U.K.), has published its TOP 1000 World Banks 2012 ranking First Ukrainian International Bank (FUIB) as No 926 or 53 positions up versus 2011. As has been reported, in 2011 FUIB merged with Dongorbank, having completed one of the largest mergers in the Ukraine’s banking sector. As the result of its organic growth and a merger with Dongorbank, FUIB secured its place among TOP 10 banks in Ukraine, built up its regional network and improved its balance sheet structure. FUIB generated USD 56 million net profit for 2011. FUIB has also moved up by 33 positions in 100 Largest CIS Banks 2012 rankings compiled by RIA Rating Agency and ranked No 51.
“FUIB strengthens its leading positions in the local market as one of the best banks by sustainability, reliability and profitability, which is repeatedly recognised both by investment analysts and the media,” says Konstantin Vaysman, Chairman of the FUIB’s Management Board. “We are pleased that the Bank’s successful performance has been noticed by the international community; in addition to being among the largest banks of the CIS, FUIB once again made it to one thousand largest banks in the world. FUIB’s achievements are recognized globally, which reaffirms our competitive stance and is beneficial for reinforcing our foreign partnerships”.
